Who we are

The Hooper Family Legacy on Village Creek

For over a century, the Hooper family has been an integral part of the Village Creek community in Mountain Rest, South Carolina. Their deep-rooted connection to the land reflects a legacy of dedication, hard work, and a profound appreciation for nature's beauty.

Warren Hooper, a lifelong resident, devoted his life to cultivating the family's farmland and maintaining the property's pristine condition. His meticulous care ensured that the azaleas bloomed vibrantly each season, and the grounds remained immaculate—a testament to his unwavering commitment.

In 1998, Warren married Peggy Hooper, whose passion for flower arrangements beautifully complements the natural splendor of their surroundings. Together, they own and operate the Mountain Rest Retreat—a serene haven nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This retreat, situated on their ancestral homestead, offers guests a tranquil escape, reflecting the Hoopers' dedication to preserving the land's beauty and heritage.

The Hooper family's enduring presence on Village Creek stands as a symbol of steadfastness and harmony with the land. Their story is woven into the very fabric of the community, embodying a tradition of resilience and reverence for the natural world.
